The makings of Thanksgiving meals are delivered to local families in
Falmouth/Cumberland.
November 7/8 - Festive table is set up and food requests handed out.
November 8-November 23/24- Collection of donations
November 23/24 - Food baskets are prepared in the church hall
November 25-delivery
Donations are offered to the Yarmouth Community Food Pantry and families in
Yarmouth and North Yarmouth.
Bags of food are offered to local residents with a
$15 gift certificate.
November 8/9 - “Brown bags” and lists are handed out.
November 14/15- Food donations are returned.
November 16- Food is transferred to the pantry
November 24- Bags of groceries are delivered to local residents with gift card for fresh food purchases.
The donations supply food to Freeport Community Services -- its pantry and
program supporting families in Freeport, Pownal and Durham.
November 8 - Lists of needs attached to a “brown bag” are handed out.
November14/15 - Donations are returned.
November 16 - bags of groceries are assembled for local families and
delivered. Remaining food is transferred to the Pantry.
Serving Gray/New Gloucester communities, in coordination with the Caring
Community, the local food pantries and other organizations, our church locates
families who welcome Thanksgiving baskets and the church offer makings of a holiday
meal.

November 7/8 to November 21 -- Food donations are dropped off.
November 22 (Sunday) - Basket assembly takes place at the church and food is delivered to families. 12-2pm and 6-8pm

Sacred Heart Church-
....approximately 75 bags of food were donated on November 15-16. That is roughly 750 pds of food.
....15 bags of groceries for delivery to local families were organized from the donations. The remaining bags of food were transferred to Yarmouth Food Pantry on November 18. Jim Higgins helped with his truck and about a dozen people who had attended morning Mass helped.

....14 baskets were delivered/picked up serving approximately 62 adults and children.
....Currently, there are 11 families needing food baskets through the church.
....The leftover food (not used at Christmas) will be donated to a youth shelter in Lewiston and to the local food pantry.

St. Jude Church -
....approximately 23 bags of groceries were donated on November 16 -- roughly 230 pds of food. The bags were transferred to Freeport Community pantry on November 18..
