An important part of Catholic parishes in our Diocese is a commission that assists the parish administration in charitable work. In order to meet the challenge of "being charitable," there need to be people who can help determine where, how, why, and to whom we can offer help.
Social Justice and Peace at Parish of the Holy Eucharist:
At present, the SJ&P Commission needs more members to support our work within our four churches and the local communities.
Fr. Peter Kaseta is the supervisor who cares deeply about the best, justifiable use of money, time, and energy for those in need. Parishioner Cathy is the experienced chair of the Commission. We ask that you consider helping our efforts by becoming a member of the commission, volunteering for a commission-sponsored event, or by donating to the Needy Fund and/or the Haiti Fund. You may contact the parish office if you’d like to get involved. Simply call 207-847-6890 or email [email protected] We value your ideas and support.
Please consider a contribution to either the Needy Fund (General Assistance) or the Haiti Fund by clicking on one of the buttons below. You can also mail contributions to the parish office at 266 Foreside Road, Falmouth, ME 04105.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Terrie at the office at (207) 847-6877 or [email protected]
Thank you!
The POTHE Needy Fund is in need of donations! The Needy Fund is administered by the Social Justice and Peace Commission. It responds to requests for emergency financial assistance for many areas of concern, (e.g. CMP shut offs, food, clothing, gasoline, etc.). Each request is vetted by a member of the Commission and approved by Fr. Peter in accordance with Commission guidelines. The fund is maintained solely by voluntary free-will contributions from POTHE parishioners. Please note "Needy Fund" on the memo line of your check. For more information, please contact Fr. Peter through our Parish, (207) 847-6890.
