Blessed with beautiful, bright, blue skies with whispy, white clouds about seventy-five parishioners, family and friends gathered at the Holy Cross Cemetery by the large, white cross to celebrate the 9:00AM Memorial Day Mass. Fr. Daniel Greenleaf was joined by con-celebrant Fr. Peter Kaseta, OFM, Cap. and assisted by Deacon Dennis Popadak. John Walkenford and Tom Gruber transported the necessary furnishings for the altar and credence table. Using Msgr. Stefanko's suggestion, two censers with incense flanked the altar to help control the insect population. With the singing of traditional hymns. ( "Holy God we Praise Thy Name" as the entrance and "America" as the recessional ) Fr. Greenleaf's homily about the importance of remembering, and the participation in the Eucharist, it truly was an act of worship and praise. As part of the Intercessions, those in attendance were invited to speak aloud the names of those who had died and that they wanted to be "remembered!"
