A tough winter and now a soggy spring, particularly for families living on the edge. That part of our community continues to turn to the Church for emergency help when there is a delay in getting town or state help. Requests sometimes relate to housing: the cost of a month’s rent or an additional deposit fee. We try to respond with funds which parishioners provide as charitable donations. Earlier in February, there were eight requests for emergency assistance and the same in March. The Parish provided much help and aid for rent, electricity, medicine and food cards. Now, in early May, our charitable funds are low and the situation prompts us once again to ask for your donation to the “Needy Fund.” Your generosity will truly help, and we thank you!
