It’s official, praise God—Bishop Deeley has accepted my petition to be ordained a priest! This will happen at a special 10 AM Mass on Saturday, June 16, at Saint John the Baptist Church in Brunswick (39 Pleasant Street). My first Mass of Thanksgiving will be at 9:30 am on Sunday morning, June 17 (Father’s Day, appropriately enough!) at Saint Mary’s Church, located at 144 Lincoln Street in Bath, Maine.
I’m so grateful for my time here in POTHE! So please come, especially if you’ve never been to an ordination. I would love to see you. You don’t need an invitation to come. But please do let me know of your plans to come via this webpage:

Also, as you read this, I’ll be on my way to Israel, on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land (April 29–May 10, with Father Bob Vaillancourt). When I was ordained a deacon back in October, I promised to pray “with and for the people of God.” That means you! So please send me some prayer intentions—things you’d like me to pray for—and I’ll be happy to pray for them each day during the pilgrimage. I’ll write them out in a small notebook, which I understand I’ll be able to lay for a brief moment on the spot where Jesus died. Please send them via e-mail to me at
[email protected]. And if I’m able, I’ll try to put up a photo or two periodically online at my (very occasional) blog:
