Specific giving and naming opportunities

In addition to the construction of the Fr. Jim Morrison Memorial Narthex, there are some opportunities for donors wishing to direct their gift toward much needed items within the narthex, church, sacristy, and bell tower. Named giving opportunities provide a perpetual reminder of the generous commitment and lasting support of our donors. A small, engraved remembrance plaque will be placed on or near each item. Please find the list of the naming opportunities outlined below. We invite you to review these opportunities to find one that would best fit the passion that you have for St. Gregory the Great and the Parish of the Holy Eucharist.

This donor will have the opportunity to give toward the purchase of a new shrine for our beloved statue of St. Gregory the Great that was purchased from Italy last year. The shrine will be hand carved by a local young parishioner of ours. Our parishioners would still remember him serving with his brother at daily Masses, weekend Masses and funerals for most of his childhood. This shrine would serve as a dual function for our statue of St. Gregory the Great, but also for the altar of repose for Holy Thursday and will be placed on the left side of the sanctuary.

This donor will have to opportunity to give for the purchase of our new digital carillon system to be installed in the bell tower of the new narthex.Digital carillons are a uniquely American musical device primarily installed after World War II in the United States to emulate church tower bells. Some of these digital carillons strove to replicate cast bronze bells using recordings, while others projected bell-like tones created through different techniques. This digital carillon will have precise sound reproduction, and every note and chime will replicate the rich, resonant tones of traditional bells with remarkable realism to chime over Crystal Lake. It will come complete with more than 70 peals, tolls, swinging and Angelus bells to meet our needs for funerals, weddings, Mass and prayer and comes with hundreds of hymns already programmed.

This donor will have the opportunity to give toward the purchase a new stained-glass window to be installed on the front right outside side of the new narthex, opposite our beloved stained-glass image of the Good Shepherd. The donor will have to opportunity to consult with Fr. Cartwright to choose a saintly or biblical image.

This donor will have the opportunity to give toward the purchase of new furniture to be placed in the narthex for our visitors and parishioners to comfortably sit and gather and socialize.

This donor will have the opportunity to give for the purchase of our new sink and sacrarium in the sacristy.
In the sacristy, you will find the sacrarium, a special sink with a pipe that bypasses the sewer, unlike an ordinary sink, but instead goes straight into the earth. This sink is made to preserve the dignity of sacred things which can no longer be used. For example, the sacred vessels are rinsed there so that no particle of the consecrated Host or no drop of the Precious Blood will end up in the sewer. The first rinse used to clean Altar linens, old baptismal water, sacred oils, blessed ashes, etc., all of these are disposed in the sacrarium, returning those substances to the earth.

This donor will have the opportunity to give toward the purchase of a new Yamaha Clavinova piano to help our musicians and choirs lift our voices to God in song. The world class Yamaha brand combines GrandTouch keyboard action with counterweights for the feel of a real concert grand. In addition, the instrument allows the musician to toggle between 4 different piano settings as well as several organ settings for increased flexibility during Mass.

This donor will have the opportunity to give toward the purchase of six new comfortable chairs for our talented choir. These chairs come with an easily accessible built in under seat rack for hymnals and other choir materials. They feature padded seats and backs, providing superior comfort and support for our choir members. These chairs are available in a selection of different fabrics and frames that will allow for customization.
