Our Parish continues to support Haitian communities, including the Parish of Sacre-Coeur de Meyer & its Parish Center at Cyvadier where four Sisters live & work. The third part of our project is a school feeding program in the mountain area of Marbial. In Meyer, the church community celebrated the June Feast Day for the Sacred Heart with church events, processions & also distribution of food to local families. We know from experience that the annual feast day each June is the largest church event of the year when processions & liturgies over several days prepare parishioners over for the celebration. With ongoing political uncertainty in the country, a feast day celebration can offer encouragement to local people. Our parish is able to offer assistance with the Haiti door collection. It takes place this weekend, July 6-7. Your support is appreciated.
