Haiti We ask for your support of our sister parish in Haiti at the weekend Masses when the door collectors will welcome donations as you leave the church. This assistance will help in the pastoral work at Sacre-Coeur de Meyer and its parish center in the Cyvadier neighborhood. At the Center, the Sisters carry out a busy community support program in feeding local children, as well as training Haitian women with skills to help strengthen families and to earn income from small businesses.. Sacre-Coeur Parish is also helping local families to repair homes damaged by the October hurricane. With extra funds, we are also able to provide help to a rural parish of Ste. Therese in Marbial.
Sister Brigida recently described activites at the Community Center that was completed in 2015 with funds from Parish of the Holy Eucharist:
“…some 56 children in a feeding program four times a week; sewing program for 20 women, a cooking course with 15 women, crochet skills with 17 girls; course of macramé with 10 women; micro-credit program for 30 women.”
